Earning FAGD status requires professionals to complete 500 hours of approved continuing dental education, including at least 350 hours through live courses, and successfully complete the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Exam. The exam tests knowledge across 17 dental disciplines, reflecting the broad range of expertise required in general dentistry.
Only about 6% of general dentists in the United States and Canada have achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
For Dr. Peck, the designation reflects a longstanding interest in continuing education, technology, and advanced dental care. A former software engineer, Dr. Peck combines his background in technology with his work in restorative dentistry and implantology. He has placed and restored thousands of dental implants and completed an advanced education residency with a focus on implant dentistry after graduating with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
“Continuing to learn has always been an important part of how I approach dentistry,” said Dr. Peck. “Earning Fellowship required a considerable investment in education across many different areas of dentistry, and I’m proud to have reached this milestone. Ultimately, that education matters because it gives me more knowledge to draw from when I’m treating patients.”
Dr. Peck also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, where he helps mentor future dentists and shares his experience in restorative care, implantology, and the use of technology in dentistry.
